About the project
A refrigerated distribution center for long-term storage of fruits, vegetables, and berries in Shymkent, built for a major agri-holding of the South Kazakhstan region in 2023. Temperature range: −2°C to +8°C with ±0.5°C precision. The building is divided into 6 independent chambers with separate Danfoss climate-control systems, enabling simultaneous storage of different crops without cross-contamination. The envelope uses PIR sandwich panels, 200 mm thick, with a full vapour barrier. A controlled atmosphere system (CO₂/O₂ regulation) extends produce shelf life to 8 months without quality loss. Steel frame erection was completed in 28 working days — a record pace for a 5,500 m² facility.
